How to make the most of your 5 days in Corfu 🇬🇷

 1) Take a day trip to Albania

We booked ours via Get your guide and the price of the ticket (£57) included pickup from the hotel, ferry to Saranda, a morning spent visiting the ancient city of Butrint, buffet lunch with seaview and some free time to explore Saranda... totally worth it! 

2) Rent a car to explore the island

We didn't book a car in advance and only ended up renting one for a day from a local car rental (price was €50 for the car + €20 for petrol). A day was enough to visit most of the main attractions including Paleokastritsa where we took a short boat trip to visit the caves and the stunning Halikounas beach at sunset. Corfu is very hilly and full of windy roads so take frequent breaks to avoid being car sick!

3) Try paragliding or paramotoring

This was one of the coolest experiences we ever had! We booked via Get your guide and initially wanted to go paragliding but the wind wasn't strong enough so we ended up paramotoring which was something we never thought of doing and really enjoyed (the views over the coast were stunning!). Everything was easy and smooth we just had to book and the instructor picked us up from a meeting point in Pelekas, they immediately made us comfortable and we were able to watch each other take off and land which made the whole experience even better!

4) Spend an evening in Corfu town 

Corfu old town is not only incredibly pretty to look at but it also offers a great variety of bars and restaurants and it's bustling and vibrant with shops staying open till late - you should absolutely spend an evening (or more) wondering around these streets. We recommend Mikro Cafe for cocktails 🍹🍸

5) Take a day trip to Paxos

Paxos has some of the best beaches we've ever seen with clear blue water and not many tourists (we went in June). We were lucky enough to have a local friend who took us to the main spots on the island and we managed to see quite a lot in just a few hours - if you don't have much time definitely try to go to Erimitis beach and take the 10-15 mins walk from Ozias to admire the views over Tripitos arch.
