Fell in love with Iceland ❤

We went to Iceland in August 2016 and visited first the Golden Circle, then the Southern Coast followed by the Northern one and we ended the trip in Reykjavík.
Highlight were definitely the many incredible waterfalls (our favourite is the Dettifoss!) and the Myvatn Nature Baths where we got to relax a bit after some intense days of exploration. Oh and we'll never forget the boat tour in the Glacier Lagoon!

Planning this kind of trip can be quite challenging as there are just so many things to see and they all have names that are pretty much impossible to remember!
We honestly feel like the tour we made was one of the best possible options, wouldn't have done anything differently. We rented a car and booked all hotels from home which was essential as there aren't so many and they could become fully booked quite quickly.

Our strategy was to organise the most energetic excursions at the beginning and leave some time to relax at the end. Reykjavík is quite pretty but we wouldn't recommend spending more than a couple of days there, natural landscapes are much more worthwhile. Free tours of the city are organised regularly by students, which is the best way to get to know it.

It is VEEERY IMPORTANT to pack strategically and to have the opportunity to wear many layers. We were quite lucky with the weather but it was also very variable so it is important to be prepared for everything.

So enjoy Iceland, it's really cool (pun intended)!

Here's a sneak peek to our trip, this was our very first attempt at putting together a travel video, hope you guys enjoy it ;)
